SAMUEL HE—BIO
Samuel He (b. 5 June 1983) works on commissioned visual projects and teaches photojournalism and documentary classes at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Outside of photography and journalism, he tinkers with open source projects like DOKURIZI, FRENEMY FIGHTER and Migrants NFT, a community initiative to build a digital museum and artistic representation for migrant artists. It has raised more than $10,000 in sales and seed funds.
He is a founding investor in Our Grandfather Story, Singapore’s most well-loved micro-documentary content publisher. He also serves on the company’s board of directors.
In previous his work lives, he was a film director and co-founder at Weave, a photojournalist at The Straits Times and a Data Analyst at GIC.
